Alone in the Clouds

This is a photo from the last flight I took to Arizona. It was a rescue mission. The goal was to go in under the cover of night and bring Michelle home. The flight there was an almost empty plane. Riding back was a little more chaotic. Can you believe Michelle didn’t want to buy the insurance on the U-Haul truck? After totally wrecking a branch of a tree and almost running off the road at multiple points during the drive, we arrived safely back in Southern California.

Photo Date/Time: 02/01/2007, 9:39 PM
Location: 37,000 feet up, between Phoenix, AZ and Los Angeles, CA
Camera: Canon PowerShot SD700IS
Exposure: 1/10, F2.8, Focal Length 5.8mm, No Flash
Post Processing: None.

Future Improvements/Changes: I’m pretty happy with this picture overall. The darks are dark. The whites are white. I think the photo conveys a quietness you hardly find on airplanes, but not in lonely way. The space is mine. I wish I had taken more photos of different parts of the plane with it being so empty. How often do you get a chance to be on an airplane without being stuck between two fat people?
